When Kids Are Out of Control

The more out of control your child is, the more important it is for you to remain calm. Actions which escalate a child's agitation are counterproductive. Stay calm, regardless how unglued your child becomes. When behavior is inappropriate, calmly state why the particular behavior is not acceptable, as well as what consequences will follow if the unacceptable behavior continues.

Your kids are watching you, so practice and model good self control.

If self-control issues escalate, consider seeking professional help.
